Very good food, great service and nice surroundings.

Don’t pay attention to the good reviews this used to be my favorite restaurant in Athens. Their quality in meat over the last year or two has dropped significantly. My chicken is always rubbery and cold even right off the grill.

Everything has been great. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the big slices of steak. They were entirely too large but still tasty.

Samurai Steakhouse is a bit of a double edged sword to review. It’s never been “bad” the service has always been good and the food is “good”. Never has a “great” or an “awesome” experience. I would say it’s accumulatively- lackluster. The food is overpriced with small portions. For the price - you could get hibachi from Ninja and walk out with enough food for several days. Samurai is a gem in that it will always be “good” and if you feel like spending too much or are in a hurry it will serve you well. It will rarely be “great” in terms of the food due to value. My only real qualm is the glass feature that has plants and pebbles in it. I think it was originally intended to be an aquarium or some sort of water feature. It’s gross. Glance in there next time as you walk to your seat- it’s GROSS.

Average Japanese food, nothing to come back for. Food was mediocre and overpriced. Staff wasn't very friendly.

Another great round of sushi. 3 musketeers roll with rice paper and cilantro, pearl roll, under control with asparagus, pink dragon, I could go on... I have not found sushi I like better than this.

Been to Samurai's a number of times and always enjoy great service and great food. I always get the Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box and haven't been disappointed yet. Do yourself a favor and try it out.

Very good food, pleasant atmosphere, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food was extremely enjoyable and prices are very reasonable. Portions were above expectations.

We have ate here several times and always leave very full and happy with leftovers. It can get pricey especially when you start adding the sushi rolls but I believe it's about par for area in sushi prices. They are typically pretty quite. You can watch the cook but it's not the make in front of you kind of place. It's a family favorite for us!

Excellent food and good service.

I really love this place, I've been going there for years. My only gripe is they don't have nutrition facts or even calories so if you're trying to lose or gain weight by counting calories you're going to have to guesstimate.

Friendly people and great steak and shrimp hibachi.

This is not a bad review, but I chose this restaurant based on the 4.5 rating and this place is def not a 4.5* restaurant. Great service, pretty good food, and in other Japanese restaurants people like the experience of setting around the hibachi grill watching their food being cooked etc. this place doesn’t have that and there was a very fowl odor in the entrance as we walked in.

Samurai has become a family favorite for me and my sons and whenever our busy lives slow down and we are able to get together for lunch or dinner we always meet here. Very quiet and quaint family restaurant with a great atmosphere, great service, and even better food...I love their Spring rolls!

Samurai has the best Hibachi-style food and sushi in the area! The prices are good, and the food quality is great. It's one of our favorite go-to spots! The hibachi comes with a large portion of meat of your choice (steak, chicken, shrimp, etc), stir-fried vegetables, rice, soup, and salad -- all of which are delicious!! The sushi chef is a master of his trade, and makes top-quality sushi rolls. I've tried everything on the specialty roll menu, and everything is great! In the attached picture, you can see the polar bear roll (left) and the rising sun roll (right).

I come here once every couple weeks to get while at work and have loved it every time. I get my food to go, and whether I call ahead or walk in, customer service is quick and polite. Food is solid, I love their sushi, especially the Tokyo Roll. The bento box for lunch is great for the price as well. Definitely recommend this place if you are in the mood for Japanese.

It's alright. The waitress was friendly and helpful. Food wasn't too flavorful. All in all I enjoyed it here.

I love this place. Best Bento boxes around, and a great value for your money, and my favorite rice. Yum!
